Recording and Guitar Equipment Demos: Sound Pure Studios is the practical operating arm of our equipment sales business, Sound Pure, which sells high end recording equipment, sets up recording studios with all of their equipment, and does some acoustic retrofits of existing spaces, and sells boutique guitars, amps, and pedals. As such, we at Sound Pure are dedicated to educating our clients and will gladly share our recording expertise with our clients. To prospective purchasers of gear from Sound Pure (www.soundpure.com), during periods of studio vacancy, time may be reserved to test/demo equipment and help the purchase decision, whether it be for a single microphone, preamp, or other effect, or whether it be a part of an elaborate consultation regarding your entire ground-up studio build-out. In-Studio Recording Training: Above and beyond the above mentioned gear-demo sessions that we make available to potential customers, Sound Pure also does one-on-one in-studio training in all areas of audio production including tracking, mixing, editing, mastering, etc. Whether you are looking to make use of the large Sound Pure Studio A, or the smaller Studio B, one of our expert engineers and superb studios can be acquired simply for your personal recording educational needs. Workshops and Other Sound Pure Events: Sound Pure Studios has and will continue to be utilized for periodic events (some free requiring only a reservation, and some requiring tuition). These events sometimes involve demonstrations by our manufacturers. For example, free events in the past have included the live demonstration of pre-released Pro Tools 8, demonstrations by Waves Audio of their latest audio plug-ins, and a live music event featuring one of the most legendary Guitar Builders in the world, Bob Benedetto. Sound Pure has also volunteer-hosted benefit events such as a sold-out event with 6-time Grammy Nominated Jazz Vocalist, Nnenna Freelon, for the benefit of the Durham Arts Council. Periodically, Sound Pure has open-house evenings, as well. Finally, Sound Pure produces group training workshops on various recording techniques, utilizing Sound Pure’s vast recording tools and facility that are tuition-based for recording students our pro audio customers.
