Sound Pure Difference

Three years of parts & labor coverage. On us.

Sound Pure's Free 3-Year Warranty extends past most manufacturer terms — so when life happens to your gear, you're covered. Coverage and eligibility details below.

Sound Pure's Free 3-Year Warranty is our parallel coverage that extends beyond the manufacturer warranty when it ends short of three years. It covers both parts and labor and runs three years from the date of purchase.

What's covered

  • Brand-new products that are marked with the Sound Pure 3-Year Warranty on their product page at the time of purchase.
  • Both parts and labor for product issues resulting from normal operation under normal conditions.
  • Coverage runs three years from the date of purchase, in parallel with the manufacturer warranty.

Eligibility

  • You must register the product with the manufacturer before a claim is made.
  • Coverage is non-transferable — only available to the original purchaser from Sound Pure.
  • Purchase must be made on SoundPure.com or by calling a Sound Pure representative. Purchases through Amazon, eBay, Indoorstorm.com, or other affiliate channels are not eligible.
  • The warranty took effect November 30, 2012; products bought prior to that date are not officially eligible.

What's not covered

  • Used, demo, B-stock, consigned, open-box, and floor-model items (unless a specific written exception is provided by a Sound Pure employee prior to purchase).
  • Damage from abuse, neglect, accident, water or liquid spill, act of god, or unauthorized modification.
  • Cosmetic issues — sun-fading, finish wear, peeling labels / silk-screening / tolex / grill cloth, subjective tonal complaints, signs of age.
  • Setup-related issues on instruments — neck adjustments (seasonal or otherwise), fret wear, humidity-related damage to acoustic instruments.
  • Consumables — bulbs, vacuum tubes, batteries, strings, drum heads, tape heads, plugs, jacks, pots, threaded components, analog VU meters, motorized faders, speaker cones/drivers, spring reverb tanks, microphone ribbon elements.
  • Drums and related hardware: manufacturing defects only — abuse, wear and tear, and damage are not covered. Cymbals are not covered.
  • Software (any form), hard drives, and any data loss or data recovery associated with a faulty drive.
  • Surge protectors and power conditioners are covered if defective, but damage they cause to connected equipment is not covered.
  • Items with limited manufacturer coverage (e.g. parts that carry only 90-day coverage inside a 1-year manufacturer warranty) carry the same limit under this program.
  • Products with no Sound Pure 3-Year Warranty mark on the product page at time of purchase.

How to make a claim

Contact your Sound Pure rep or email support@soundpure.com before sending anything anywhere. We will provide specific instructions and route the repair to the manufacturer or another facility at our discretion.

Shipping costs to and from the repair facility are the customer's responsibility, notwithstanding any contrary manufacturer terms. If a repair is determined "not covered" (for example, water damage), you are also responsible for any diagnostic labor charged by the repair facility.

Sound Pure is not liable for any incidental or consequential damages — lost wages, lost studio time, lost work, or lost data — arising from the equipment issue or the time it spends in repair.

Beyond the program

Even when an issue falls outside this warranty — including outside the three-year window — we still do our best to help you get back up and running at the lowest possible cost. Sound Pure reserves the right to refuse or reject products presented under this program at its discretion, and to modify the terms at any time.
