From MOTU
The MOTU Monitor 8 is a versatile 24x16x8 monitor mixer, 6-channel headphone amplifier, and USB/AVB audio interface engineered for live performance, studio tracking, and multi-user monitoring distribution. Built on the same award-winning analog architecture as MOTU’s flagship 1248, 8M, and 16A interfaces, the Monitor 8 delivers pristine audio quality with 123 dB dynamic range and ultra-low noise performance across all outputs.
Designed as a central monitoring hub, the Monitor 8 can mix 24 physical inputs (8 TRS line inputs and 16 channels of ADAT optical), multi-channel computer audio, and network channels into eight stereo output buses (Main, Aux, and monitor groups A through F). Groups A–F feature mirrored outputs—including dual 1/4" headphone jacks, summed mono stage wedge outputs, and balanced stereo line outs—allowing a single monitor mix to drive headphones, stage wedges, and wireless in-ear systems simultaneously. Equipped with 48-channel console-style DSP mixing, vintage effects modeling, wireless web-app control, and AVB/TSN audio networking, the Monitor 8 delivers comprehensive monitoring control for stage and studio.
